Mechanical Perfection in timeless silver chrome, recently serviced and ready to shoot.
Important: the lens pictured is not included in the auction–only the camera body.
This Leica MP in silver was built in the 2020s to Leica's exacting standards. The MP, which stands for Mechanical Perfection, is Leica's modern 35mm film camera featuring through-the-lens (TTL) metering and represents a harmonious blend of classic M-series design philosophy with contemporary precision manufacturing. The 10301 MP model was produced from 2003 until its discontinuation in early 2025.
Built on the foundation of the legendary M6, the MP incorporates improved internal mechanics, enhanced weather sealing, and refined ergonomics while maintaining the timeless aesthetic that has defined Leica rangefinders for decades. The silver chrome finish offers exceptional durability and develops a distinctive patina over time, making each camera unique to its user. This particular example exhibits minimal signs of handling and presents in like-new condition.
No modifications have been made to this camera. It remains in original factory specification.
This Leica MP presents in like-new condition with only minimal signs of use consistent with careful handling. All functions operate as intended with no mechanical issues noted.
The seller provided documentation of a CLA completed in November 2024 by Steve's Camera in Culver City, CA. The counter dial and winding base assembly were both repaired to factory specifications, and the meter/speeds were also checked and found to be within factory specifications.
The seller purchased the camera from a Japan-based eBay seller in 2022. Its previous ownership history is unknown.
